After two cuts in the state budget, the payrolls of civil servants dropped by 10-15%, but the civil service remains a responsible employer. This was stated by the head of the National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service (NAGS) Natalia Alyushina in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
“The civil service is undergoing a test of strength. After two sequestrations, the payrolls of civil servants have reduced by 10-15%. We are waiting for the third sequestration of the budget. It’s time to optimize,” Alyushina said.
According to him, despite the reductions in funds, payments are made on protected items, but sometimes there are delays in wages at the middle level of three to five days.
“According to the Ernst & Young report, 13% of businesses leave the market, because people have lost everything. At the same time, the civil service, as practice shows, remains a responsible employer,” he said. where is Alyushina.
The head of NAGS also said that a few days ago an agreement was signed between Ukraine and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development on the allocation of the first tranche in the amount of EUR476 million to support public administration and salaries of servants and teachers . .
“In total, the deal provides EUR1.5 billion. These funds should be sufficient until March 2023,” the official said.
