The Ukrainian Armed Forces also received thousands of 155 mm artillery shells and ammunition for grenade launchers.

Germany provided a powerful military aid package to Ukraine, which included the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system. The German government announced this on Thursday, December 14.

In addition to this anti-aircraft system, the Ukrainian Armed Forces also received Patriot missiles, the exact number of which is not specified.

Germany also sent:

  • nine Bandvagn 206 tracked all terrain vehicles;

  • 7390 shells of 155 mm caliber;

  • three unmanned mine clearing vehicles;

  • 14 drone detection systems;

  • eight Mercedes-Benz Zetros trucks;

  • four trailers for 8×8 HX81 tractors;

  • eight Zetros tankers;

  • more than 47 thousand 40 mm ammunition for grenade launchers.

Let’s recall that in April 2023, Germany transferred the first Patriot complex to Ukraine. Later, the German side provided missiles for this air defense system.

And at the beginning of December it became known that the second group of Ukrainian military personnel was trained in Patriot in Germany.
