For the next four years, Estonia will support Ukraine with military aid in the amount of 0.25% of its own GDP.
The Estonian government has approved the provision of military aid to Ukraine totaling 80 million euros. The Ministry of Defense of the Baltic country announced this on Thursday, December 14.
The package reportedly includes a “large number” of Javelin anti-tank systems, machine guns, small arms ammunition, various military vehicles and equipment, and diving equipment.
The agency did not disclose the exact number of benefits for security reasons. The value of the package is almost 80 million euros.
“This aid package is designed to obtain maximum benefits for Ukraine without compromising Estonia’s own defense capabilities. We are replacing the necessary reserves,” said Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur.
According to him, Estonia will continue to provide significant and long-term support to Ukraine until Kyiv wins the war, because not only the security of Ukraine is at stake, but also the security of Estonia, transatlantic and global security in general.
It is indicated that over the next four years, Estonia will support Ukraine with military aid in the amount of 0.25% of its own GDP.
We remind you that on December 13, Norway announced a decision to provide Ukraine with additional NASAMS air defense systems worth $30 million.
