In particular, a residential building was damaged in the Dnieper region. The mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, published a photo of the destruction inflicted on his Telegram channel.
Debris from a ballistic missile fell into the courtyard of an apartment building. As a result, both the house and the kindergarten located nearby were damaged. Parked cars burned in the yard, and windows in nearby houses and a school also blew out, Klitschko noted.
According to him, the residents of the damaged house were promptly evacuated at night. Investigative and operational actions are ongoing, after which people will be allowed to pick up the necessary things, and the broken windows will be covered with film by the utility workers.
Klitschko noted that an examination of the damaged house will be carried out in the future:
- if its supporting structures are intact, the housing will be promptly restored so that residents return to their homes as soon as possible;
- if the structural damage is critical, the option of major restoration of the house will be considered. The kindergarten will also have to be restored.
The city will provide temporary housing to affected residents during the recovery period. There is also a heating point deployed by the rescue service on site, the mayor noted.
In addition, that night, fragments of another rocket fell on the territory of one of the city hospitals in the Dnieper region:
- the morgue building was damaged;
- The building of the medical facility also received minor damage.
In total, 53 people were injured in the night attack. 20 of them were hospitalized, including two children. 33 people received medical assistance on the spot. Among them are six children,” Klitschko added.
