Today, December 13, the President of Poland Andrzej Duda took the oath of office in the new government of Donald Tusk, wrote Ukrinform.
Duda congratulated the ruling coalition that won the last election on its victory and noted that although he comes from a different political background, he is ready to work with the new government. He added that there were no disagreements between him and Prime Minister Tusk regarding the distribution of power functions.
President Duda initiated the meeting of the country’s National Security Council in the coming days, where it is planned to discuss important matters from the point of view of the country’s interests with the new members of the government of the Republic of Poland.
Tusk thanked all Poles for supporting the political force that came to power during the election, focusing on the record turnout, and expressed satisfaction with the country’s president’s willingness to cooperate with the government in all matters.
We remind you that on December 11, Donald Tusk was elected Prime Minister of Poland. 248 representatives of the Polish Sejm voted in favor, 201 representatives voted against, and no one abstained.
The Polish Sejm on the evening of Tuesday, December 12, announced a vote of confidence in the government of the new Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
