Representatives of both parties in the US upper house assured the Ukrainian leader of Ukraine’s support.
President Vladimir Zelensky said that in the United States, representatives of both the Democratic and Republican parties assured their strong support for Ukraine. He said this at a joint press conference with US President Joe Biden in Washington.
“Today I talked a lot with representatives of both parties. Both Democrats and Republicans assured us of their full support,” Zelensky said.
He added that the Ukrainian side has always believed in the support of its strategic partner, the United States.
“We assume that it will continue in this way, and Ukraine will not be left alone against an autocratic terrorist such as the Russian Federation,” Zelensky stressed.
Zelensky previously reported that at the meeting he told senators about the current security and economic situation in Ukraine, and the importance of maintaining vital support from the United States.
