Answering the question whether the resignation of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny or the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Naev was planned, the minister said that there are always changes in the military component, and there are always transitional things in military leadership.
“In this matter, there is no such question. I know that they are shaking it internally and externally, “said Umerov.
He added that now, together with Zaluzhny, he welcomed the Ukrainian military in the eastern direction. According to the defense minister, he has been joking with the commander-in-chief amid rumors of his resignation.
“If there are such questions, I will report. There are no urgent such questions. There are transitional questions to some commanders. I always ask Valery Fedorovich, if there are these transitional questions about some people, what recommendation, who can we appoint, – ed..). As you know, we can rotate them or move them to a separate post,” said Umerov.
