A Russian citizen was expelled from Poland on suspicion of espionage

Poland expels a Russian citizen on suspicion of collaborating with Russian services. This was reported by the Polskie Radio station referring to the country’s Internal Security Agency.

“A Russian citizen suspected of collaborating with Russian intelligence services has been expelled from Poland,” the statement said.

It is noted that the Russian lived in the Polish city of Bydgoszcz.

“In 2023, two more aliens were also discovered in the vicinity of Bydgoszcz, who may be conducting espionage activities in favor of Russia and Belarus,” the publication added.

It was previously reported that the Internal Security Agency and the Polish Military Counterintelligence Service detained 46 suspected spies for Russian or Belarusian intelligence in 2016-2023.
