The reason is that national roaming does not work due to the fact that the Kyivstar network cannot transmit information about its subscribers to the networks of other operators as a result of a general technical failure. This is a temporary problem that all company specialists are actively working on. Services will be resumed soon. The press service of the Ministry of Digital Development reported this on December 12 in a comment to Public.
The department noted that after solving the current problem, officials will discuss with all mobile operators how to protect themselves as far as possible from similar situations and protect users from unexpected communication problems.
Meanwhile, the publication dev.ua, citing sources in the company, reported that the failure in Kyivstar occurred due to a hacker attack on the network core.
Let us remind you that on the morning of December 12, Kyivstar subscribers began to report problems with communication. The company subsequently confirmed a technical failure and stated that as a result of the accident, communication services and Internet access to part of the subscriber base may be unavailable.
