On Monday, December 11, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky flew to the United States, where he met with Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Charles Brown. This was reported by the presidential press service.
“The visit to the United States began with a meeting with Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Charles Brown at the US National Defense University. We discussed global security challenges, developments on the front and more Ukrainian – American cooperation in the field of defense. I am grateful to the United States for implementing our agreements, especially in strengthening air defense, and to Secretary Austin and General Brown for their personal leadership,” the statement said.
Earlier it was reported that Zelensky will travel to the United States, where, in particular, he will meet with President Joseph Biden.
