This was reported today, December 11, by the Ukrayinska Pravda publication, citing a commentary from the press service of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Defense of the Central Region.
The appeal hearing took place on December 4. Based on the results of the consideration, a preventive measure in the form of a personal obligation was chosen for the defendant,” the prosecutor’s office noted.
On November 6, it became known that in the village of Chaiki, Kyiv region, 39-year-old Zaluzhny’s assistant Chastyakov, who was celebrating his birthday on that date, died from a grenade explosion in his house. The wife of the deceased said that the grenade that exploded in her husband’s hands was in a gift bag that he brought home.
On November 9, the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv did not choose a preventive measure for Timchenko. The special prosecutor’s office stated that they would challenge the court’s decision to refuse to select a preventive measure.
