The representatives of the Hungarian and Slovak communities of the Transcarpathian region called on the head of the European Council, Charles Michel, and the Prime Ministers of Hungary and Slovakia, Viktor Orban and Robert Fico, to support the start of negotiations on the membership of Ukraine on the block. . “We, representatives of the Hungarian national community of Transcarpathia, appeal to you with great hope and ask for support for the decision to open negotiations on Ukraine’s membership in the European Union, scheduled for December 14-15, 2023,” the appeal said.
