The head of the Dorogusk commune, located on the border with Ukraine, only dissolved the action, they said in Poland.

On Monday, we managed to unblock one of the main border checkpoints between Ukraine and Poland – Yagodin – Dorogusk. The Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine reported this on December 11.

“The blockade of the Yagodin-Dorogusk checkpoint has been completed. Stable truck traffic has continued there since 14:00,” the message said.

It was indicated that 15 vehicles drove in the direction of Ukraine – they were at the checkpoint. Also, 25 trucks are being registered – they are going to Poland.

Yagodin – Dorogusk is the largest cargo checkpoint. He was blocked for over a month.

“During this time, the ministry team and the embassy dealt with the issue of unblocking literally every day. We held dozens of meetings and negotiations at all possible levels. It was a difficult task, but not yet it ends,” the department noted.

In this regard, the leader of the Polish protesters, Rafal Meckler, said that the head of the community of Dorogusk, which is located on the border with Ukraine, just disbanded the protest.

“They called us from Dorogusk and said that around 13:00 the head of the commune (wójt) will dissolve the protest,” Meckler wrote on his X (Twitter) page.

He claimed that the Ukrainian side was warned the day before the permission to protest would be revoked.

As you know, since November 6, truck traffic has been difficult at the Ukrainian-Polish border due to a strike by carriers. There are thousands of trucks in the queue. Among the main demands is the return of operating permits for Ukrainian carriers, which were removed by the agreement with the EU until June 30, 2024.

Meanwhile, Ukrainians began transporting trucks by rail to the Polish border.
