In 2024, Berlin plans to transfer about 200 thousand shells to the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Currently, German industry is increasing the production of ammunition. This was stated by the Inspector General of the German Armed Forces, Karsten Breuer, reports the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung.

Next year Germany will be able to supply about 200 thousand artillery shells. I think this is a significant part of the planned million,” he noted.

As you know, Germany has become one of the countries helping Ukraine. Berlin provided Kyiv with military, political and financial support. The Ukrainian defense forces received several types of artillery, Leopard tanks of old and new modifications, IRIS-T and Patriot air defense systems, ammunition, vehicles, drones and other types of weapons and supplies.

Let us recall that in September, seven EU countries ordered artillery shells for Ukraine according to the scheme agreed upon in the spring of 2023. These countries have signed agreements with the European Defense Agency for the supply of 155 mm shells for self-propelled artillery systems – the French CAESAR, the Polish Krab, the German PzH2000 and the Slovak Zuzana C/2000.

And in December, Germany’s largest armed concern received orders to supply Ukraine with 155-mm artillery shells worth about 142 million euros.
