The invading army will try to reach the borders of the settlement of Sinkovka in order to create a future springboard for the offensive. Kupyansk is now an important logistics center. The press secretary of the command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant Colonel Vladimir Fityo, said this during the telethon.
According to him, the activity of Russians in the Kupyansky and Limansky directions has decreased due to the weather. During the day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled seven enemy attacks near Sinkovka and Novoselovsky. Due to bad weather in this direction, the enemy used only three kamikaze drones, and in total in previous days this figure ranged from 15 to 30 drones per day. On Saturday, December 9, the Russians carried out 399 attacks.
Let us recall that the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) came to the conclusion that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin ordered the Russian army to capture Avdeevka and Kupyansk by March 2024. Experts are confident that these events could contribute to Putin’s success in the upcoming presidential elections.
