Russian war criminals attacked Kherson – residential areas of the city were set on fire. One of the shells hit a tall building. Two civilians were injured. Russian troops also fired on Berislav from a drone. As a result of the release of an explosive object, one person died. Another was injured.
The Verkhovna Rada adopted an appeal in which it called on the European Union to make a decision on the start of negotiations on Ukraine’s membership in the EU at a meeting of the European Council. The Verkhovna Rada also called for the continued support of the Ukrainian people in the struggle for state sovereignty. In addition, the Verkhovna Rada appealed to the European parliaments with a request to support the macro-financial stability of Ukraine by adopting the Ukraine Facility proposed by the European Commission. The Parliament also called for an increase in the provision of military aid to Ukraine at the national level and within the framework of the European Peace Fund.
On December 9, the Rada adopted the Law on Amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine and the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine regarding the criminalization of smuggling of goods and removable goods, as well as false declaration of goods. The adoption of this law is a prerequisite for the provision of macro-financial assistance from the EU of 1.5 billion euros this year. At the same time, the committee’s edition was adopted, in which changes were made the previous day, which the business insisted on.
A heavy fire started in the temporarily occupied Makeyevka, Donetsk region on Saturday, December 9. Citizens are reporting an “arrival” in the city. Social networks are writing about the fire at an oil depot.
