In the Kharkov region, it is planned to install 65 modular shelters in strategically important places, of which 11 already exist. This was announced by OBA head Oleg Sinegubov on Saturday, December 9.
“In total, we plan to install 65 modular shelters in Bogodukhovsky, Izyumsky, Kupyansky and Kharkov districts. 11 have already been installed,” said Sinegubov.
He said the network of facilities is located near high-rise buildings, bus stations, markets, shopping centers, public transportation centers and other crowded areas.
According to Sinegubov, the cost of each structure is UAH 1.9 million. 70% of the project is financed from local budgets, another 30% is the participation of the regional budget within the framework of the Territorial Defense Program of the Kharkov Region for 2022-2023.
It was previously reported that the previous day, Russian troops fired mortars and artillery at 17 settlements in the Kharkov region, and four more villages were attacked from aviation.
Before this, the Russian army destroyed the village of Podoli in the Kupyansky district of the Kharkov region. Two people were injured.
