The Israeli military has killed at least 7,000 militants in the Gaza Strip. However, the actual number may be higher.

More than 7,000 Palestinian militants have been killed in the war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. This was said by the head of the Israeli National Security Council, Tzachi Hanegbi, Reuters reports.

“This is a minimum estimate,” Hanegbi clarified.

According to him, the number of militants killed may be higher because the Israeli side does not know how many people are under the ruins of the destroyed buildings or in the tunnels built by Hamas in Gaza.

Let us recall that on December 5 it became known that the Israel Defense Forces were launching the third phase of a ground offensive against Hamas and surrounding the city of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza.
