It expands the circle of people entitled to one-time cash assistance due to Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine.

Now the following are eligible for payments:
-
children of the deceased (deceased), including adopted ones, conceived during the life of the deceased (deceased) and those born after his death;
-
children in respect of whom the deceased (deceased) was deprived of parental rights;
-
the spouse who survived the deceased;
-
parents (adoptive parents), if they were not deprived of parental rights in relation to him and their rights were not restored at the time of the death of the person;
-
grandchildren, if their father or mother, who is the child of the deceased, was not alive at the time of the death of the person or at the time of the appointment of assistance;
-
a woman or man with whom the deceased (deceased) lived in the same family, but were not married to each other, provided that this fact was established by a court decision that entered into legal force;
-
dependents of the deceased.
At the same time, military personnel and critical infrastructure workers can themselves determine the shares of recipients of a one-time benefit under a will.
However, the law provides that minors, minors, adult disabled children of the deceased (deceased), a disabled widow (widower) and disabled parents receive one-time monetary assistance, regardless of the contents of the will, in the amount of half the share due to each of them in the case of payments without a will.
Parents (including adoptive parents) and adult children (including adopted children), as well as other persons who evaded the obligation to support a deceased person, if this circumstance is established by the court, are not entitled to a one-time benefit.
