Jared Kouchner’s silence has been deafening since Jan. 6, 2021, following a specific question from a select committee of the Chamber of Inquiry into the attack, Seth Meyers said.
At a second hearing on Monday, the committee presented evidence that former President Donald Trump and his inner circle knew his statements about the rigged election were wrong, but still insisted on them.
On the eve of the 2020 election, Trump allegedly ignored his electoral advisers and, on the advice of his drunken personal lawyer, Rudy Julian, falsely declared victory while still counting the votes.
In an excerpt from the testimony, Kouchner, Trump’s son -in -law and former White House adviser, was asked if he would share his views on Julian with Trump. After a long pause, Kushner said he did. Then, when asked what he had said to his father-in-law, he replied, “Uh, basically, not the approach I would take if you were me.”
“The hiatus is very long. It can be said that Kushner does not want to answer the question. “I was surprised he didn’t perform a song called‘ We’re Not Talking About Rudy, ’” Myers said on “Late Night” on Monday. “That’s really how long the break is when you ask about the friend who got drunk at a party, especially the friend you invited.”
