One imprisoned Russian allegedly “sent money to the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” and the second was allegedly “involved in a series of acts of sabotage in 15 regions of the Russian Federation.”
The Russian FSB detained a resident of the Tyumen region for allegedly “providing financial assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.” The special service also took a 21-year-old resident of the Kaliningrad region, who earlier this year organized arson at transport facilities in 15 regions of Russia. This was reported by Russian TASS.
Russian investigators say a resident of the Tyumen region “deliberately made a money transfer to finance the Armed Forces of Ukraine.” The FSB opened criminal proceedings “on the fact of high treason in the form of providing financial assistance to a foreign state.”
The Russian now faces life in prison.
The FSB also announced that a resident of the Kaliningrad region from February to March 2023 attracted a number of people from 15 regions of Russia to sabotage activities. The investigation says that these individuals were involved in 15 cases of arson.
The FSB claims that the fact of transferring information about a military unit located in the territory of the Kaliningrad region, where the suspect previously served, to an employee of the Ukrainian special services was documented.
In addition to the charges of sabotage activities, the Russians were also charged with high treason.
As reported, the SBU carried out two explosions on the Baikal-Amur Mainline – the first occurred in the Severnomuysky tunnel named. Bessoleva. The aggressor country also uses this route for military supplies from China.
Later it became known about the second explosion in Buryatia. Then the media reported about a trap for the Russians.
