The counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for two weeks pushed the enemy back to Zaporozhye a few kilometers.
During the counter-offensive in Zaporozhye, the Armed Forces of Ukraine moved the front line of 5-10 km, liberating our territories from the occupiers. This was announced by the mayor of the temporarily occupied Melitopol Ivan Fedorov in his video message on Facebook.
He noted that the victory was achieved after two weeks of counter-offensive actions.
According to Fedorov, thanks to the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the force of the Russian army, which 110 days ago was dozens of times larger than our troops, is significantly reduced today.
“In the past two weeks, two important events have taken place for us, the inhabitants of Melitopol. First of all, this is the counter-offensive of our Armed Forces directly in the Kherson region, in the direction of Kherson. So far, the “Armed Ukraine’s forces have made significant progress in the direction of Kherson. We are also inspired by it, because this movement is also heading towards Melitopol,” Fedorov said.
We remind, earlier it was reported that the resistance to invaders is growing in captured Melitopol – 98% of the inhabitants are waiting for the return of Ukrainian statehood. Local residents are even boycotting grocery stores opened by the occupiers.
