Dmitry Peskov called the possibility of conducting such negotiations with one of the European countries “theoretical”.
Russia is ready for negotiations to resolve the so-called “crisis in Ukraine.” Kremlin Speaker Dmitry Peskov told RTVI on Tuesday, December 5.
“The President has repeatedly said that the main thing for us is to achieve our goals (in relation to the crisis in Ukraine). And, of course, we would prefer to do this mainly through political and diplomatic means. So’ t we remain ready for negotiations,” he said.
In turn, the Russian newspaper Izvestia, citing a high-ranking source, reported today that Russia is allegedly ready for negotiations with Ukraine, including the territory of a Western country .
When asked to clarify whether this could be the case, for example, in Hungary, Peskov said: “A basic theoretical conclusion was written in this publication.”
At the same time, the Kremlin spokesman complained that Ukraine interrupted the negotiation process “at the direction of the British.”
As you know, the aggressor country Russia regularly asks to start negotiations with Ukraine, but “taking new facts into account.”
In this regard, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that now is a “bad moment” for negotiations with Russia. The head of state is ready for a long war.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken argued that Ukraine is ready to negotiate with Russia if the Kremlin shows interest in diplomacy.
