The IDF says its operations in southern Gaza are not much stronger than those in the north.
Israel is expanding its ground operations throughout the Gaza Strip. IDF Speaker Daniel Hagari said this at a press conference on Sunday, December 3, reports The Times of Israel.
The IDF is continuing and expanding ground operations against Hamas strongholds throughout the Gaza Strip, he said.
He also emphasized “the importance of air support that the Air Force provides to ground forces,” noting that airstrikes against terrorist headquarters, weapons factories, terrorist tunnels and areas of missile launch reduces threats to ground operations.
“Our policy is clear – we will strike with force any threat that appears against our territory,” Hagari said.
The IDF spokesman also noted that Israeli actions in southern Gaza were no less strong than those in the north, and the results were less significant.
It was previously reported that Israel plans to create a buffer zone in the Gaza Strip after the war.
As we have already written, on December 1, the Israel Defense Forces announced the end of the ceasefire with Hamas and the resumption of the conflict in the Gaza Strip.
