As a result, civilians were injured in the Semenovskaya community. The head of the Chernihiv OVA, Vyacheslav Chaus, announced this in his Telegram channel.
A family with a 4-year-old child was injured. The man suffered shrapnel wounds and was treated at a local hospital. His daughter is transported to a regional hospital, where she awaits surgery. Fortunately, the 4-year-old grandson was not injured, Chaus noted.
The details are as follows: the family came to visit their relative in a border village for the weekend and came under enemy fire while leaving the house on the street, he added.
The press service of the Chernihiv region police notes that local police immediately arrived at the scene of the incident and helped the ambulance crew save people from enemy fire and evacuate the victims to the hospital.
At the hospital, the victims were provided with the necessary assistance. Psychologists are now working with the boy. Police remain there to support the wounded, and the child’s father has arrived to help the child, the statement said.
Criminal proceedings have been opened under Article 438 of the Criminal Code (violation of the laws and customs of war).
