In particular, in the Kupyansk direction, the enemy stormed the areas of Sinkovka, Kharkov region, and Stelmakhovka, Lugansk region, where the Defense Forces repulsed 13 attacks. In the Liman direction, the Russians carried out assault operations in the Serebryansky forestry area of the Lugansk region. Eight attacks were repulsed there. This is stated in the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for December 2.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy carried out assault operations in the areas of Grigoryevka, Bogdanovka, Ivanovsky, Kleschievka and Andreevka of the Donetsk region, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 21 attacks. The Russians are also trying to cordon off Avdeevka, and in the areas south of Novokalinovye, Stepnoye, Avdeevka, Severny, Pervomaisky of the Donetsk region, Ukrainian defenders repelled 21 attacks.
Units of the Russian army, with the support of aviation, unsuccessfully stormed the Maryinsky direction, and in the Zaporozhye direction the invaders eight times tried to carry out offensive actions to restore the lost position in the areas of Robotinoy, and four attacks were repulsed in the area west of Verbovoy.
The General Staff emphasized that the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to advance in the Melitopol direction, and in the Kherson direction they continue to hold their positions on the left bank of the Dnieper. There is a counter-battery fight going on there.
Let us recall that earlier the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that after a certain so-called calm in the Avdeevka area, caused by difficult weather conditions, the enemy significantly intensified artillery shelling and air strikes.
