At the beginning of December and in the middle of the month, Ukrainians will experience frosts. However, after December 20, the air temperature will begin to rise gradually and melting is possible in the country close to Christmas and New Year. Candidate of Geographical Sciences, meteorologist Igor Kibalchich spoke about this on Friday, December 1, meteoprog reports.
“In the second half of the first ten days and in the second ten days of December, the temperature in many regions of Ukraine will drop at night to -13°-7°, and in the northern, northeastern and northwestern regions, in times frost can rise to -20°. -14°. A stable period of cold weather will last until the twentieth of the month,” said the expert.
He said that the warming at the end of the month is due to the influence of the Asian anticyclone.
“We will then receive warmer and more humid air masses of Atlantic origin, which will affect the air temperature rise,” he said.
According to him, on New Year’s Day, Ukrainians will see the + mark on thermometers.
In Kyiv, the average monthly air temperature in November was 4.1 degrees Celsius, which is 1.5 degrees above climate.
We remind you that on November 29, a record amount of rain was recorded in the capital – 17.5 mm, which is 0.4 mm higher than the previous record in 1983 for this day.
