In less than six months, the Poles built 140 km of a 5.5 -meter -high fence: a five -meter steel pole and a half -meter coil of wire.

Poland has completed the construction of a “wall” on a 140-kilometer section of the Belarusian border. The first sections have already been commissioned, the country’s border service said on Twitter.

According to border guards, the installation of electronic barriers will begin in the coming days.

The length of the Polish-Belarus border is 418 km, 186 km of which is the land border. Construction of the fence began on January 25 this year.

The fence has a height of 5.5 m: five meters of steel poles and half a meter coil of wire. Motion sensors and cameras will be placed at the border.

It should be recalled that in early May it was reported that Poland had built the first 50 km of the wall on the border with Belarus.
