Since the resumption of mandatory filing of declarations on October 12, the dynamics of filing declarations has been growing. NACP receives approximately 15 thousand declarations per week.
For 2021, civil servants have already submitted 434,434 declarations to the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP), and for 2022 – 351,687. The total number of declarants is about 800 thousand people. This was announced by the head of the department for the development of legal positions on issues of declaration and conflict of interests of the NACP, Ilona Katushinskaya, Ukrainian Radio reports.
According to him, since the mandatory filing of declarations resumed on October 12, the dynamics of filing declarations has been growing. NACP receives approximately 15 thousand declarations per week. This is three times more than before.
“We expect that the declarers will be more active in January. But we really insist and advise not to postpone it until January. Especially, because if the declarers have to contact the NACP and receive some clarifications, it is better do it now, while there is no heavy burden on the workers.I would also like to note that senior officials, unfortunately, are not as active in filing declarations as civil servants in lower positions ,” said Katushinskaya.
The official reminded of criminal, administrative and disciplinary liability for violation of financial control requirements.
Criminal or administrative liability is imposed for non-compliance with the deadlines for filing the declaration. If these declarations differ from the reliable ones up to the 100 subsistence minimum, disciplinary liability is imposed. If the amount is from 100 to 500 subsistence minimums – administrative liability. If the amount is more than 500 subsistence minimums – criminal liability.
Let’s recall that SBI employees reported suspicion to an official of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kiev, who did not declare his wife’s property for several years. The total undeclared amount is about 13 million hryvnias.
As reported, President Vladimir Zelensky signed Law No. 9534 on the renewal and opening of e-declarations of officials in Ukraine.
