The platoon commander of one of the military air defense units of the Odessa region reported suspicion of negligent attitude towards military service (Part 4 of Article 425 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). It turned out that during the war the attacker sold more than 20 tons of the 30 tons of strategic fuel. The State Bureau of Investigation reported this on December 1.
This soldier was responsible for receiving and issuing diesel fuel intended for the needs of the unit. However, his thefts caused damage to the state amounting to more than UAH 1.4 million.
It is noted that the officer reimbursed the entire amount in full after the opening of criminal proceedings. The perpetrator faces a penalty of imprisonment for up to eight years.
Let us recall that in November, the DBR reported suspicion to an officer from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who gave grenades to Zaluzhny’s assistant Gennady Chastyakov. He is accused of acquiring, storing, carrying and selling explosive devices without permission provided by law.
