The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine carried out several personnel changes, including the appointment of a new chairman of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection. This was announced by the representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk on Telegram on Friday, December 1.
“Yuri Nikolaevich Mironenko has been appointed chairman of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine,” the statement said.
The Cabinet of Ministers also appointed:

Alexandra Semirgu – in the position of the first deputy chairman of the State Customs Service of Ukraine;

Vitaliy Polovenko – on the post of Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine.
In addition, the appointment was agreed:

Anatoly Chubenko Deputy Chairman of the Poltava Regional State Administration;

Vladimir Kogut Deputy Chairman of the Poltava Regional State Administration for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitalization;

Ivan Vashchenko as deputy chairman of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration.
It is known that Yuri Mironenko worked in business and banking before the war. Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, he fought as part of the 112th Terrestrial Defense Brigade in Kyiv. He later became the deputy chief of staff of the 129th battalion of the 112th brigade. Awarded the Silver Cross badge.
As you know, in November the State Special Communications Service exposed a scheme worth more than 62 million Hryvnia. The former head of the department, Yuri Shchigol, and his deputy, Viktor Zhora, are suspected of illegal misuse of state funds.
The court chose preventive measures for the suspects in the form of detention, but granted them multi-million dollar bail.
