In 2024, the State Property Fund planned not only the sale of enterprises as part of a major privatization, but auctions for the lease, in particular, of agricultural land owned by the state. This was said by the head of the Fund, Vitaly Koval, in a meeting with the regional director of the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI), Nicholas Dunais, Government Portal reports.
Major privatizations include putting on the market such assets as Odessa Port Plant, Centrenergo, United Mining and Chemical Company, Ukrainian Energy Machines, Elektrotyazhmash and Sumykhimprom.
According to Koval, the process of small privatization of objects is actively underway, and in the near future it is planned to put on the market large privatization objects with a starting price of UAH 250 million.
Also in 2024, it is planned to start auctions for the lease of state-owned agricultural land.
The State Property Fund will act as the largest owner of brownfield assets, representing inactive or abandoned businesses with connected communications that are actively involved in the privatization process.
“Right now is a favorable moment for investment in Ukraine,” said the head of the State Property Fund.
We remind you that since the beginning of 2023, the State Property Fund of Ukraine has earned more than UAH 6.2 billion for the state. By the end of the year, the State Property Fund plans to put up for privatization about 200 more assets with an estimated book value of more than UAH 1.36 billion.
As reported, 39 privatization auctions were held in October, during which the State Property Fund sold properties worth UAH 372 million.
