The court arrested crypto assets seized during a search from the former head of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine.

The press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office reported this today, November 30.
Investigator Judge VAKS granted the relevant petition and seized:
- Tether USDT cryptocurrency in the amount of 1.2 million units (at the time of disclosure – $1.2 million);
- TRX in quantities of 331 units ($35);
- 6.9 bitcoins (275 thousand US dollars).
The former head of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine (Gosspetsvyaz) Yuriy Shchigol, together with five other persons, is suspected of embezzling public funds in the amount of more than UAH 62 million during the purchase by the State Service of information technology intended to create a system of secure data registries.
