The President briefed the British Prime Minister about the basic needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and strengthening our country’s air shield.
President Vladimir Zelensky spoke on the phone with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. The press service of the Ukrainian leader reported this on Thursday, November 30.
It is indicated that after visits to the front line in the south and east of the country, Zelensky informed Sunak about the priority need to strengthen the defense capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and strengthen the air shield of our country.
They also discussed additional macro-financial support for Ukraine and coordinated measures ahead of important international events.
Separately, the interlocutors touched on the issues of Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine.
“Vladimir Zelensky and Rishi Sunak noted the importance of the meeting of national security and foreign policy advisors in Malta in October and discussed further steps to implement the Ukrainian peace formula,” the statement said.
It was previously known that the UK, together with its partners, is implementing an Emergency Assistance Plan for Ukraine over the winter. It cost £127 million.
