Shutdown schedules have not yet been introduced and are not predicted. But if the maximum consumption continues throughout the day, then there may be a deficiency in the energy system.
In Ukraine, the level of electricity consumption has risen to its highest level and will remain at a high level throughout the day. It was reported by Ukrainergo on Wednesday, November 29th.
“The reasons for the increase in consumption: worsening weather conditions, cloudy weather affects the decrease in the production of “green” generation, and above all, the continuation of consumption in regions affected by bad weather, ” said the report.
Energy workers are asking Ukrainians to rationally consume electricity throughout the day.
Meanwhile, repair crews continue to restore power to consumers in the southern region. The progress of the work was complicated by severe weather conditions – drifting snow and icy conditions. The wind picked up again and there was heavy rain in some places.
The most difficult situation remains in the regions of Odessa and Kherson. Overnight, due to weather conditions, outages were added in the regions of Kirovograd, Nikolaev, Poltava, and Cherkasy.
In total, due to bad weather, 368 settlements in the regions of Dnepropetrovsk, Transcarpathian, Kirovograd, Nikolaev, Odessa, Poltava, Kherson, Cherkassy, and Chernihiv were cut off in the morning.
Due to the fighting and other reasons, 444 communities remain without electricity. Due to the shelling, there were new damages to oblenergos networks in Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Kharkov regions. Emergency restoration work is carried out depending on the security situation and with the permission of the military.
At the same time, the electricity generated by the power plants is still sufficient to meet the needs of the household and legal consumers. No consumption limits are introduced. Shutdown schedules have not yet been introduced and are not predicted.
“But if the maximum consumption continues throughout the day, there may be a shortage in the energy system. This is due to reduced operation of solar power plants,” they warned. Ukrainergo.
Now Ukraine does not export electricity. And imports are carried out mainly in the evening and night hours from Slovakia, Romania, and Moldova. The total volume is 1277 MWh, with a peak power in individual hours of up to 474 MW.
SA Ukrainergo recalled that since November 28, the technical possibility of importing electricity from Europe to Ukraine and Moldova has increased to 1,700 MW.
Let us remind you that last week there was a deficit in the Ukrainian energy system for two days in a row. We had to attract emergency aid from EU countries.
It has also been reported that thermal power plants are being inspected in Ukraine due to emergency repairs. Recently, seven power units underwent emergency repair.
