Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey’s president, told UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres that Israel must be held accountable at the international court level for war crimes committed in the Gaza Strip.

The BBC reported this on November 28.
According to the Turkish presidential administration, in a telephone conversation ahead of the UN Security Council meeting on Gaza scheduled for Wednesday, Erdogan told Guterres:
Israel continues to brazenly flout international law and the laws of war, looking the international community in the eye.
This is not the first such statement by the Turkish leader. In mid-November, Erdogan said his country would file a lawsuit alleging “genocide” in the Gaza Strip. The Turkish President said that the country, with more than two thousand lawyers, is preparing a “genocide complaint” to the “relevant authorities.”
On Wednesday, November 29, Turkey will be represented by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, a member of the so-called contact group of Muslim countries negotiating with Western leaders on the situation in Gaza, at the Security Council meeting in New York.
