The President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, deprived the head of the country’s Party of Regions and the head of the Congress of Moldovan Diasporas in Russia, Alexander Kalinin, of citizenship, who supports the war in Ukraine. The corresponding order was published on the official website of the President of Moldova, writes NewsMaker.
Kalinin reportedly became the leader of the Party of Regions of Moldova in 2016. In 2020, he collected signatures in support of his candidacy for the presidential election, but later withdrew from the race.
