In the regional center, the SBU detained another member of the agent network of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces operating in the city. The attacker handed over to the aggressor dozens of geolocations where, in her opinion, units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were allegedly based. Subsequently, the enemy launched targeted strikes at these coordinates, primarily using Shahed-type kamikaze drones. This was reported in the SB press center.
After enemy attacks on Odessa, the woman reported to her curator about the consequences of the arrivals. She also conducted reconnaissance near infrastructure facilities of the regional center, which aroused “interest” in Russian military intelligence.
The security service detained the attacker in her own home. The agency turned out to be a local businesswoman who was remotely recruited by the Russian GRU in June 2023. The woman came to the attention of the occupiers due to activity on their Telegram channel.
SBU investigators have already informed the detainee of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 (high treason committed under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Let us remind you that recently an FSB agent who in June 2023 was preparing Russian air attacks on Vinnitsa received a real prison sentence. A local 30-year-old man walked around the streets of the city for several weeks and secretly photographed the locations and routes of movement of military equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
