Alexey Danilov noted that Ukraine plans to use commercial recruiting companies for targeted prizes.
The Cabinet of Ministers intends to change the procedure for mobilization in Ukraine. The main purpose of the changes was to maintain combat effectiveness after almost two years of war with Russia. This is what the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexey Danilov said, reports the British edition of The Guardian.
He said the mobilization changes will be announced by the end of this week.
According to him, Ukraine plans to use commercial recruiting companies to conduct more targeted recruitment and replenish the ranks of conscripts. The use of these companies should assure the conscripts that they will be in roles suited to their skills, rather than that they will simply be “sent to the front.”
“Some people are afraid: they are afraid to die, they are afraid to shoot. But this does not mean that they cannot be involved in other activities … Now we have a new minister with a new approach,” explained Danilov.
As we wrote earlier, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky ordered the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and Prime Minister Denis Shmygal to prepare a comprehensive mobilization plan.
