The rains caused damage to homes and loss of livestock across the state. Local authorities will soon begin assessing the damage from the disaster.
The India Meteorological Department has forecast continuous rain in parts of Gujarat.
Recall that in September in the eastern Indian state of Odisha, 10 people died and three others were seriously injured as a result of lightning strikes during storms.
