Two people died in Bulgaria in road accidents that occurred due to severe weather conditions on the roads. Euronews reported this on Sunday, November 26.
It is stated that 36 other people were injured in the slippery road.
Due to bad weather, the Bulgarian government was forced to declare a state of emergency in large parts of the country.
“More than a thousand settlements, mainly in northeastern Bulgaria, were left without electricity. Strong winds caused road accidents and traffic delays, and also downed trees and power lines,” said Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov.
In neighboring Romania, a red alert was issued in the eastern counties of Constanta, Tulcea, Galati and Braila. The country’s authorities reported that more than 400 communities suffered from power outages.
