In Crimea, under the auspices of the FSB of the Russian Federation, a network of resources for denunciations was created – the “most famous” of them was the Crimean Smersh.
Russian intelligence services encourage residents of Crimea to report “unreliable people” and compile a “black” list of people who, in their opinion, may threaten the authorities at work. The Center for National Resistance reported this on Sunday, November 26.
“Russian intelligence services were encouraged to find and expose ‘violators’, so the atmosphere of 1937 reigned on the peninsula. Voluntary informants were ready to congratulate their neighbors for any combination of yellow and blue colors or listening to Ukrainian music,” the message said.
The invaders are suspected relatives of the territory of free Ukraine, former military personnel and employees of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and law enforcement agencies, people who held positions in state authorities and local governments before the occupation of the peninsula in 2014.
“The enemy singles out the Crimean Tatar community. As in Stalin’s time, the occupier refers to the entire national community as a “traitorous people” and continues to carry out raids in areas densely populated by indigenous peoples. Crimea,” notes CNS .
The occupiers also included volunteers in identifying “untrustworthy people.”
“Their main task is to identify “unreliable individuals” and enter them into a special database “AIS extremist”. The basis for inclusion in such a database can be comments or even reactions under messages that criticize the Russian aggression or express a pro-Ukrainian position. ,” CNS added.
It is known that the invaders have already entered data on seven thousand people in their database. In particular, there are more than a thousand representatives of the native Crimean Tatars.
The CNS calls for the reporting of such cases of violation of civil rights and freedoms in the temporarily occupied territories.
Earlier, intelligence reported that the Russian Federation was holding 11 thousand Ukrainian children in “re-education camps.”
