Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that Ukraine cannot defeat Russia on the battlefield.
According to him, during a speech, the recording of which was published on Twitter (X) by the official representative of the Hungarian government, Zoltan Kovacs, the decision of the European Union to support Ukraine at the beginning of a full -scale Russian invasion. The Federation was “strategically wrong.”
Our strategy is that the Ukrainians will fight and win on the battlefield, and the Russians will lose. And their defeat will lead to a change of leadership in Moscow… It is now clear that Ukraine cannot defeat Russia on the battlefield. Nor can we expect political changes in Moscow… We must look at reality,” Orban said.
At the same time, the Hungarian Prime Minister called the occupation of Crimea the “Crimean crisis.” In his opinion, in 2014 the West made a “strategically correct” decision when it reached the conclusion of the Minsk agreements.
