There has been no spill of oil products – since Feb. 24, the pipeline has been mothballed, but there is diesel fuel inside.
In Russia’s Bryansk region, not far from the village of Gulevka, 40 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, three explosions thundered – at the same time, an alarm sounded about the loss of communication with the Druzhba oil pipeline valve. , written by Meduza Live on June 12.
It was reported that one of the explosions damaged a transformer substation with a power unit for the valve of the largest network of major oil pipelines in the world.
The second explosion occurred in the area where the cable was laid – a funnel of 40 to 20 centimeters remained there.
The third explosion damaged the anti-digging pipe (an additional form of protection buried in the ground in sensitive facilities), leaving a funnel of 40 to 60 centimeters.

According to media reports, the Druzhba itself was not damaged, but the anti-digging pipe and substation were damaged, and the power unit for controlling the valve was also de-energized.
Transneft reported that the pipeline was operating normally, with no delays in supplies.
Earlier, Ukraine warned Hungary that “something could happen” to the Druzhba oil pipeline.
