These routes are not ideal, but everything possible is being done to develop them, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said.
Ukraine has established two routes through Poland and Romania for grain exports. This was stated by Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmitry Senik to Reuters on June 12.
According to him, about 30 million tons of grain are stored on the territory of Ukraine, which Kyiv is trying to export by road, river and rail.
Ukraine is also in talks with the Baltic countries on creating a third corridor for food exports.
“These routes are not perfect, but we are doing our best to develop them,” he told the agency on the sideline of the Asian Security Summit in Singapore.
Putin’s weapon The war in Ukraine led the world to famine
Earlier it was reported that the UN is working on an agreement on grain corridors, which includes unblocking the export of Ukrainian grain by sea, as well as access to global markets for Russian food and fertilizers.
At the same time, Germany said Ukraine could not rely on the fact that Russian leader Vladimir Putin would keep his word and provide safe passage for grain -bearing ships in the Black Sea.
