Part of the fund will be used to clear mines in rural areas to resume agricultural production.
Finland will provide 3 million euros in aid to strengthen food security measures in Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Finnish government.
Part of the funds will be used to support the transportation of grains from Ukraine, the rest will be used to clear mines in rural areas so that agricultural production can resume.
Finnish Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Ville Tavio emphasized that in this way Finland is contributing to the restoration of food security and economic activity in Ukraine.
Experts estimate that about a third of Ukraine’s agricultural land is contaminated with explosives, and this is one of the reasons why thousands of farms and rural households have been forced to reduce or completely stop their activities in production.
We remind you that last week Finland transferred the 20th package of military aid to Ukraine in the amount of 100 million euros. It was not reported which weapons were included in the package of military assistance for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
