Launches of about 75 Shaheds were recorded from Primorsko-Akhtarsk and the Kursk region of Russia. The main direction of attack was Kyiv. In general, air defense operated in six regions – Kyiv, Sumy, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Nikolaev and Kirovograd regions. The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on Telegram.
Anti-aircraft missile forces, tactical aviation, mobile fire groups, and electronic warfare units were involved in repelling the air attack. The military managed to destroy 71 drones, and shot down the vast majority in the sky over the Kiev region. And in the Dnepropetrovsk region, an X-59 guided aircraft missile was destroyed.
The Kyiv city military administration said that the night drone attack on Kyiv was the most massive since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. The capital’s air defense forces destroyed about 50 air targets.
President Vladimir Zelensky also responded to the night attack. In Telegram, he said that the authorities will continue to work to strengthen Ukrainian air defense.
Let us remind you that due to a night drone attack, the air raid warning in Kyiv on November 25 lasted more than six hours. Air defense forces worked against hostile targets, and the wreckage of the UAV collapsed in the Pechersky, Goloseevsky, Dneprovsky, Solomensky districts of the capital.
