He was found guilty of desertion (Article 338 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), writes Current Time.
According to investigators, mobilized Zorigto Arabzhaev went on vacation this year and did not return to duty. When military police officers came to Arabzhaev’s home, the son of the mobilized man showed a certificate of his father’s death. Subsequently, the police determined that the certificate was forged. The man was detained in May.
According to the mobilized man, he bought the certificate because he was worried about the mental health of his wife, who feared for his life. Two months before mobilization, the Arabzhaevs’ eldest son died in a car accident.
