59-year-old Vladimir from Kamen-Kashirsky district, Volyn region, died in October 2022 near Kupyansk. The fragment hit him in the carotid artery.
Nadezhda Derkach said that she and her husband had previously discussed the topic of compensation to families for those killed in the war. Vladimir believed that this money would be better used to buy equipment for the army.
For this money, the Birds of Victory charitable foundation bought 50 kamikaze drones, three reconnaissance drones and a thermal imager. They were sent to the Third Assault, 24th, 42nd and 81st Brigades.
