The head of the European Council drew attention to the successes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Black Sea and their progress on the left bank of the Dnieper.
The head of the European Council, Charles Michel, noted the success of the Ukrainian defense forces in the south of the country and in the Black Sea region in repelling the large-scale military aggression of the Russian Federation. This was stated in his interview with Kyiv Independent.
The politician did not agree with theses that the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces allegedly “did not achieve its goal.”
“I don’t think this counteroffensive has failed,” the official stressed.
The official also gave two examples that, in his opinion, prove that such statements about the “failure” of the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Defense Forces are false.
“Firstly, it is very important how the Ukrainian army achieved a massive victory in the Black Sea. This is an important step in the right direction. Second, the recent progress achieved on the left bank of the Dnieper is very important,” the official noted.
Michel agrees on the importance of continuing to support Ukraine with “greater military capabilities.”
“This is what we want to do. For example, we have trained more than 30,000 soldiers and we have more to do,” he said.
The head of the European Council also noted the need for the EU to accelerate and increase the production of weapons in order to supply them to Ukraine.
As we have already written, the European Commission explained what prevented the supply of one million shells to Ukraine.
